Label features the “Lover’s Wall” from Verona, hometown of Romeo & Juliet! | Following the Amarone winemaking technique of appassimento, this wine is 40% Merlot, 30% Corvina, and 30% Croatina. You would think that air-dried Merlot would be over the top, but this expression is reigned in by the natural freshness of the two indigenous grapes. The wine is a lovely shade of garnet and shows thick, luscious concentration. Its aromas are one-dimensional but very lively: black cherry, brown sugar, and exotic spice steal the show.
