The 2019 Branco Terras de Lava is mostly Arinto dos Açores with 30% combined of Verdejo, Fernão Pires & Boal, dry (2.6 grams of sugar as against 7.8 of total acidity) and coming in at 12.6% alcohol. This is the bargain of the trio submitted this issue (not that any of them are overly expensive). It's reasonably solid in the mid-palate, bright and lively, and it shows off some flavor and fruit too. The emphasis here is a little different, as this leans a little more to fruit than its siblings, but some may like that just fine. If you're so inclined, you can probably age this safely for several years, maybe more. This is nicely done, refreshing but balanced.
