Savigny-les-Beaune 1er Cru 'La Dominode' terroir is facing south and the soil, marly and deep, is embellished with a few angular pebbles. The name "Serpentières" most certainly originated from the once numerous presence of snakes attracted by the vicinity of a few springs. Age of the vines is 60+ years and wines are aged for 12 months in barrels (25% new).
This beautiful ruby red wine seduces with its elegance and liveliness. Its pure nose combines the fruit and the minerality specific to the locality. In the mouth, the structure is harmonious, fresh and of good length, all the subtlety of a vine of respectable age.
