Litchfield Distillers call themselves Batchers in honor of the early farmers of Northwest Connecticut, a region that became known for its ample yield of wheat, corn and barley. Coaxing these crops from the rocky terrain took a certain type of grit and determination. Today, they take the best of what local farmers have to offer and distill fine craft spirits, one batch at a time. They do the growing and Litchfield Distillers do the batching. And you get a little share in this luscious little section of Connecticut called Litchfield County. We are excited to have a tasting from Litchfield Distillers at Bellevue Wine and Spirits for Newport Rugby Football Club Friday February 28th from 5:30-7PM. Aquidneck Meat and Provisions will be providing some delectable bites to pair with the whiskey. This "old Boy" looks forward to hosting.
