Promis by Ca' Marcanda Gaja is produced with a blend of 55% Merlot, 35% Syrah, 10% Sangiovese, the name ''Promis'' was created by the Gaja family to indicate commitment, expectation, satisfaction and hope. The promise of quality and the reward of diligence and excellence. The grapes are grown in brown soil (rich and dark soils) which consists mainly of clay and sand. The climate, warm summer days, refreshed by sea air and cool nights, is ideal for the grapes grown.
