Based in Prémeaux-Prissey, Domaine de la Vougeraie was formed in 1999 when wine entrepreneur Jean-Claude Boisset decided to consolidate all the vineyard holdings of his various négociant companies acquired over the years. With approximately 40 hectares of land under vine and over 30 different appellations – including six Grand Grus – Vougeraie is one of Burgundy’s leading estates. This village-level Beaune Blanc comes from two plots, Montée Rouge and La Maladière, where the vines are nearly 30 years old. Before bottling, the wine was aged for 16 months in oak barrels and 2 months in tank.
