Born as a gift for King George VI and Queen Elizabeth of England to honor their royal visit to Canada in 1939, the first exquisite blend of Crown Royal Canadian whisky was meticulously crafted from 50 select whiskies and wrapped in a cut-glass decanter in a regal purple bag with gold stitching. Over 80 years later, the Crown Royal bottle in a bag retains its wrapping and has become a king of spirits in its own right.
