Structure from Cabernet Sauvignon and nutmeg aromas are paired with acidity and open blackberry flavors. The wine is generous with plenty of rich black-currant fruits.
With the largest amount of Cabernet ever used here, the 2021 is made from a blend of 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 34% Merlot, 23% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot. This is a very pretty, almost feminine Potensac this year. It is immediately accessible with juicy fruit flavours in the nose, good acidity and persistence of plums, sloes, and figs. There is a tautness on the palate with good elegant tannins and precise concentration mid-palate. A lovely Médoc for early drinking.
