The vineyard is located in the commune of Montussan in the Entre-Deux-Mers region, halfway between Bordeaux and Saint-Emilion. The Maulin family runs an estate of 49 hectares. The 35 years old vines are planted on a clay limestone soil, on a hillside, which gives the berries their maturity.
Intense dark purple core and a lighter rim. Youthful nose with ripe dark fruit, leather, tobacco, cassis and sweet plum with a hint of oak. Dense fruit in a medium body with young grippy tannin, generous fruit, integrated wood and a fairly long finish.
